yeah. this is one of those lists that you start in the study hall you dont want to be in. and it took me long enough to finish it... and i noticed that i used "because" a few too many times as well. oh well. lets just hope the fda doesnt see this.

25 reasons why i like older video games

1. i can actually play them.
2. one joystick, one button, how simple is that?
3. who needs blood and guts when you can have a poof of lines?
4. because having a high score does make a difference
5. larger pixels = less eye problems
6. forget lara croft... princess peach is just downright sexy!
7. pong is actually challenging! just try it with your eyes closed!
8. because the computer doesn't cheat any less on sports games than it did back then.
9. because my cd-rom drive is busted.
10. the new games would crash my computer anyway.
11. because i havent beat pacman yet... that makes me sad.
12. because obesity is fun!
13. because luigi is still cooler than mario. (okay, this one doesnt really prove anything, but...)
14. because "pings" and "boomps" just have that certain something that most orchestras lack.
15. because text-based adventures really are adventures.
16. because good things do come in small packages. even if they're five and a quarter square.
17. because i have yet to get to level seven in wizard of wor.
18. who needs n64... i have c64!
19. i have learned the international flag code, how to play blackjack, and what the nhra is through older games.
20. because duck hunt still serves as great comic relief.
21. how could you not love excitebike?
22. it's fun trying to find illegal copies of games online for mame.
23. older video game systems are harder to miss at yard sales, especially when you're looking for a crash helmet.
24. because the ending to bubble bobble still gets me choked up...
